Well, 2014 was a busy year. On the plus side, I bought a house, got a nice bonus at work and a new project to work on. On the minus side, I lost my grandfather, my dog, two other relatives and had a health scare with my mom. Yeah, overall I'm glad to see 2014 go and I'm looking forward to a better 2015.
Hopefully I'll have more time for photography this year. I've missed getting out to take photos these past six months, and I can feel the rust building on my skills. I did make it to the Maryland Renaissance fair and I got back to the Calvert Marine Museum. The RenFair was fun, and I'm planning to go again this year, and I'm going to post a few pictures from my trip. The museum remodeled there estuary exhibit; given that they modeling the Chesapeake Bay's environment, which has lower light levels than what you'd see at another aquarium, and they use a lot of curved tanks, it was very challenging to get good pictures. The curved tanks were especially good at throwing off the focus, combined subject matter that matter that won't sit still(!), I'm surprised I got any good photos from that trip!
